Internal Setup

Battery

The Foenix uses an internal CR2 battery to power the Real Time Clock chip.

DIP Switches

The standard kernel interprets the DIP switches as follows:

  • 1 - BOOT IDE (not yet implemented)
  • 2 - BOOT SDC (not yet implemented)
  • 3 - BOOT FDC (not yet implemented)
  • 4 - BOOT BASIC (also the default)
  • 5 - TBD
  • 6 - TBD
  • 7 - TBD
  • 8 - IDE Drive installed

Hard Drive Installation

The Foenix FMX supports the installation of an internal hard-drive. You will need the following:

Case Screws

  • M2 Inserts, M3 inserts (2 Kind, 1 style for Bumpon, 1 style for PCB installation, M3 screws for Bumpon and PCB installation
  • M2 screws for Polycarbonate Windows
  • 1 screw for the RCA Connector in the back
  • M2.5x8mm for Floppy Installation
